Urban Engineers in the greater New Jersey area is seeking a seasoned Business Data Analyst to manage, analyze, and report project data and performance indicators for capital transit projects. You will maintain project management data and develop insights to track progress and outcomes.

The role requires 10+ years in accounting/financial controls, a finance-related bachelor, and strong Power BI, SQL Server, and Excel skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree with major coursework in finance or related field.
• Minimum of 10 years accounting, budget and/or financial controls experience.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office software; strong Excel skills.
• Experience with Power BI, SQL Server and data reporting.
• Understanding of capital project data in transit sector is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and upgrade reports that centralize budget, expenditures, and schedule data.
• Develop ad-hoc reports and analysis based on stakeholders’ requests.
• Perform quality control over published reports.
• Support Capital Delivery developing cash flows, expenditure plans and schedule using multiple data sources.
• Apply Project Management best practices that support project plan validation (schedule consistency, availability of funds, procurement control, etc.).
• Provide solutions for performance indicators, intuitive and interactive display of complex data, and bridge data analysis and business requirements.
