Hatch in Denver, CO is seeking a Transit Business Analyst Intern to support the Infrastructure group. You will develop cost models, analyze data, and help prepare business cases for internal and external projects as part of a global team.

The internship emphasizes in-person collaboration in the Denver office with some remote flexibility. You will gain exposure to mining, energy, and infrastructure topics while developing PowerPoint, Excel, and data analytics skills under mentorship.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in business administration, data analytics, economics, mathematics, or a relevant field.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.

Responsibilities

• Develop and/or assist in the preparation of cost models, financial models or business cases for projects and initiatives.
• Critically evaluate information from multiple sources and reconcile conflicts.
• Deconstruct high level information to identify underlying drivers and inform a holistic understanding.
• Communicate with internal customers to analyze information needs and deliver reports and presentations.
• Collect and summarize information from data sources, workshops and process descriptions.
• Prepare cases and scenarios to assist analysts and consultants.
• Collaborate with SMEs to analyze tradeoffs between objectives and performance.
• Assist with administrative support and manage multiple initiatives.

Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in business administration, data analytics, economics, mathematics, or a relevant field
• Minimum of a cumulative 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale

As the successful candidate, you will:

• Develop and/or assist in the preparation of cost models, financial models or business cases for projects and initiatives, for external clients and within Hatch
• Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources and reconciling conflicts
• Deconstruct high level information to identify the underlying fundamental drivers and aggregating detailed information to inform a holistic understanding
• Proactively communicate and collaborate with internal customers to analyze information needs and deliver written reports, presentations, and verbal reports, as needed
• Collect and summarize information using data collected from existing data sources, document analysis, workshops, surveys, and business process descriptions
• Prepare cases and scenarios to assist analysts and consultants
• Collaborate with subject matter experts to analyze tradeoffs between planned objectives and business performance needs
• Assist with administrative support, as required
• Successfully manage multiple initiatives simultaneously

You bring to the role:

• Interest in learning how to write Power BI reports
• Strong leadership initiative, commitment to excellence and personal growth
• Keen interest in mining, metals, energy, or infrastructure and supporting technical and business management
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft office suite, specifically PowerPoint and Excel

Compensation:

Range: $26 – $31
