Job summary

Regional Transportation District (RTD) seeks a seasoned Financial Business Partner to oversee budgets, financial planning, and expenditure management for assigned operations.

You will manage annual budgets and the Mid-term Financial Plan, review expenditures, process requisitions and invoices, and provide analyses to guide leadership decisions. The role requires strong accounting knowledge and collaboration across departments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, or finance.
• Master’s degree a plus and may substitute for one year of experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage annual budget, amended budget, and Mid-term Financial Plan cycles for assigned areas.
• Review expenses and capital expenditures; prepare variances and reports.
• Advise staff on funds availability, budget codes, and procedures.
• Process purchase requisitions, issues PO/contracts, and verify funding.
• Analyze and process invoices; ensure compliance and prepare accruals.
• Perform financial analysis and prepare reports as required.
