Job summary

WMATA is seeking a college intern to support the Audit & Compliance Department and gain hands-on experience in internal auditing, risk management, compliance, and emerging technologies within one of the nation's largest public transportation systems.

The intern will assist with audit activities, process documentation, risk assessments, data analysis, flowchart development, and presentation preparation while working closely with experienced auditors and department leadership.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a college or graduate degree.
• Interest in internal auditing, risk management, compliance.

Responsibilities

• Assist with audit activities and process documentation.
• Support risk assessments and data analysis.
• Develop flowcharts and prepare presentations for leadership.
• Contribute to documentation and reporting using standard tools.
• Participate in training sessions and department meetings.
• Assist in and/or lead cross-departmental activities as assigned.
