Job summary

WMATA is offering a summer internship in the Compensation team to work on data audits, validation, and data cleanup initiatives. This introductory program provides hands-on experience in a professional transit environment, with opportunities to learn about compensation programs and develop analytical skills during a short-term placement.

Interns will rotate through related departments, participate in training sessions, and contribute to meaningful reports and project work.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an college or graduate program with interest in human resources, compensation, or data analysis.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in data audits, validation, and data cleanup initiatives.
• Compile, review, and analyze data to support reporting and decision making.
• Prepare management, operations, and administrative reports and presentations.
• Support department meetings and training sessions as needed.
• Contribute to data quality improvements and process improvements.
• Rotate across related departments to gain broad exposure to compensation functions.
