Job summary

The Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority is seeking an Application Developer to support enterprise transit scheduling and operations platforms. You will participate in the full SDLC, design and implement application features, build integrations via APIs, and develop BI reports to support operational decisions.

You will also maintain technical documentation, collaborate with IT teams and vendors, and participate in on-call support on a rotating schedule.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field required.
2 years of experience in application development and analysis including design, development, implementation, and support.
Experience with APIs and batch processing.
Experience with relational databases and reporting/BI platforms.
Familiarity with source control systems and IT service management/ticketing tools.
Strong communication and collaboration with stakeholders and end-users.

Responsibilities

Perform application development across the full SDLC for transit scheduling and operations platforms.
Design, develop, modify, maintain, and support enterprise application functionality.
Develop system integrations using APIs with SOAP and REST frameworks.
Create and maintain reports using Crystal Reports/Tableau.
Document technical designs, architectures, and end-user procedures.
Coordinate with vendors and internal IT teams for issue resolution.
Participate in on-call rotation and support after-hours as needed.
