Job summary

The City of Glendale is seeking a journey level Transit Administrator to supervise and perform complex transit work, including fixed route and demand response services, GIS data coordination, and grant administration. You will develop outreach programs and ensure data accuracy across real-time transit information systems.

Responsibilities include preparing reports, proposals, and presentations for meetings, while maintaining high customer service standards and compliance with grant requirements.

Qualifications

• Two years of recent experience in Transit administration/management.
• Transit experience with a local government agency is desirable.
• Bachelor's Degree in Transportation, Planning, Public Administration, Geography, Computer Science, Finance, Engineering, Business, or a related field is required.

Responsibilities

• Manage and implement fixed route and demand response transit service programs.
• Coordinate GIS data and ArcGIS for transit information and updates to third party users.
• Prepare grants applications and administration to support Transit Division projects.
• Develop ridership and community outreach programs and related graphics/marketing collateral.
• Prepare transit-related reports and presentations for Department, Commission and Council Meetings.
