Job summary

City of Glendale's Transportation Department seeks a Transportation Planner to develop multimodal planning studies, program transportation projects, and support public involvement processes. You will write council communications and coordinate with regional agencies on funded initiatives.

Qualifications

• This role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Urban/Transportation Planning or related field and three years of experience in transportation planning or related activity.
• Experience with public involvement processes and intergovernmental coordination is essential.
• Proficiency in data gathering, analysis, reporting, and presenting findings to stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Performs transportation planning activities including multimodal studies and programming.
• Coordinates with regional, state, and federal planning organizations on funded projects.
• Represents the department on intergovernmental committees and participates in public meetings.
• Develops council communications and supports the CTOC and regional committees.
