Job summary

Pier Sixty-Six in Fort Lauderdale is seeking an energetic Transient Sales Manager to drive room revenue and expand market share across Corporate Transient, Wholesale, and Luxury Leisure segments.

The ideal candidate will cultivate relationships with travel professionals and executives, negotiate contracts, and coordinate with Revenue Management to maximize profitability. Travel is required and a strong hospitality sales background is essential.

Qualifications

  • 3 years hotel sales experience.
  • Strong understanding of hotel sales, revenue management, and market segmentation.
  • Experience managing Corporate Transient, Wholesale, and/or Luxury Leisure accounts with long-term relationships.
  • Experience within luxury, upscale, or resort hospitality environments strongly preferred.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans for Corporate Transient, Wholesale, and Luxury Leisure market segments.
  • Solicit new business while maintaining and growing existing accounts to meet and exceed revenue goals.
  • Identify and pursue new account opportunities through prospecting, networking, industry events, and market research.
  • Conduct sales calls, virtual presentations, property tours, and client entertainment activities.
  • Negotiate rate agreements and contracts in alignment with hotel revenue strategies.
  • Manage annual account reviews, RFP submissions, and contract renewals.
  • Build relationships with luxury travel advisors, consortia networks, and host agencies.
  • Represent the hotel at luxury travel events, trade shows, and industry conferences.
  • Attend trade shows, industry events, sales missions, and networking functions.

Responsibilities

TheTransientSales Manageris responsible forgenerating room revenue and increasing market share through proactive sales efforts targeting Corporate Transient, Wholesale, Consortia, Travel Advisor, and Luxury Leisure segments. This position develops andmaintainskey relationships with travel professionals, wholesalers, corporate travel buyers, and luxury travel advisors to drive transient business and achieve revenue goals. The ideal candidate is a results-oriented hospitality sales professional with strong networking, negotiation, and account management skills.TheLeisureSales Manageris tasked with the following duties, responsibilities, and assignments:

Sales & Business Development

  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans for Corporate Transient, Wholesale, and Luxury Leisure market segments.
  • Solicit new business whilemaintainingand growing existing accounts to meet and exceed revenue goals.
  • Identifyand pursue new account opportunities through prospecting, networking, industry events, and market research.
  • Conduct sales calls, virtual presentations, property tours, and client entertainment activities.
  • Negotiate rate agreements and contracts in alignment with hotel revenue strategies.
  • Manage annual account reviews, RFP submissions, and contract renewals.

Corporate Transient Market

  • Develop relationships with corporate travel managers, relocation, and business travel agencies.
  • Participate in RFP processes and negotiate preferred corporate agreements.
  • Monitor production andidentifyopportunities to increase market penetration within localand national accounts.

Wholesale & Tour Operator Market

  • Establish andmaintainpartnerships with tour operators,wholesalersandreceptive operators.
  • Negotiate rates and promotional opportunities.
  • Monitor production, market trends, and competitive activity to maximize revenue opportunities.

Luxury Leisure Market

  • Build relationships with luxury travel advisors, consortia networks, and host agencies.
  • Represent the property at luxury travel events, trade shows, and industry conferences.
  • Promote hotel experiences, amenities, and packages designed for luxury travelers.
  • Maintain active engagement with key luxury programs and preferred partner networks.

Account Management

  • Maintainaccuratecustomer records and activity reports.
  • Track account production and develop action plans for underperforming accounts.
  • Prepare forecasts, sales reports, and market intelligence updates for leadership.
  • Collaborate with Revenue Management to ensure pricing strategies maximize profitability.

Marketing & Industry Representation

  • Attend trade shows, industry events, sales missions, and networking functions.
  • Coordinate with the Marketing team on promotions, partnerships, and sales campaigns.
  • Represent the hotel professionally and uphold brand standards in all interactions.

Qualifications

Education and Experience preferred:

  • 3 years of hotel sales experience.
  • Strong understanding of hotel sales, revenue management, and market segmentation.
  • Demonstrated experience managing Corporate Transient, Wholesale, and/or Luxury Leisure accountswith proven ability tomaintainlong term client relationships.
  • Experience within luxury, upscale, or resort hospitality environments strongly preferred.
  • Strong organizational, analytical,verbaland written communication skills.

Physicalrequirements:

  • Ability to sit and work at a desk for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to use a computer, keyboard, mouse, telephone, and other standard office equipment for extended periods.
  • Ability to occasionally stand, walk, bend, reach, and move throughout the office or workplace.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in person, by telephone, and through electronic communication.
