Job summary

KBR, through AFCAP V, delivers Southwest Asia Transient Aircraft Services (SWA TAS) to support US and coalition forces. The TAS Technician executes ground handling, marshaling, parking, servicing, and turn-around tasks at an assigned installation, ensuring safe operations according to the PWS and applicable orders.

Reporting to the Supervisor, the role demands adherence to safety protocols and readiness for 24/7 flight line operations in austere environments. Requires U.S.

Qualifications

• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Ability to obtain/maintain a SECRET clearance.
• 3–5 years of experience in aviation operations, aircraft maintenance, or Transient Aircraft Services.
• Hands-on experience on a flight line or in aircraft ground operations.

Responsibilities

• Maintain ZERO Harm workplace by adhering to flight line safety requirements and PPE use.
• Perform aircraft marshaling, parking, and positioning per Technical Orders and procedures.
• Execute aircraft arrival/departure services including chocking and grounding.
• Conduct aircraft servicing to support turn-around and mission readiness.
• Assist in launch and recovery operations with Supervisors and Airfield Management.
• Inspect and service equipment and vehicles used in TAS operations.
• Maintain tool accountability and comply with tool control programs.
• Participate in FOD prevention activities and routine inspections.
• Follow Technical Orders, safety directives, and SOPs during servicing operations.
• Communicate with Supervisors and team to ensure safe, efficient task execution.
• Report safety hazards, equipment issues to leadership.
• Support documentation like servicing records and shift logs.
• Keep flight line and work areas clean and organized.
• Support training and qualification to maintain readiness and standards.
• Perform duties in austere conditions while maintaining safety and discipline.
• Carry out additional tasks as assigned by Supervisor or Site Manager.
