The candidate will support the Armed Services Blood Program by providing clinical expertise in transfusion medicine and blood compatibility. Key responsibilities include overseeing blood typing, performing compatibility testing, and evaluating blood supply chains. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or has three additional years of experience in the clinical lab setting. A full-time on-site role with diverse benefits is offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant scientific field (e.g., Biology, Medical Technology, Chemistry, Hematology).
• Minimum of three years of experience as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist.
• Experience supporting DoD military and/or civilian customers.

Responsibilities

• Provide analytical expertise in transfusion medicine and blood product compatibility.
• Perform and oversee blood typing, crossmatching, and compatibility testing.
• Analyze and report on blood product compatibility findings.
• Assess domestic and international blood supply chains.
• Communicate technical findings clearly through reports and briefings.
