Qualifications

• Requires at least two (2) years of experience in Transfusion Services.
• Certification by the American Society for Clinical Pathology Board of Certification (ASCP-BOC) or American Medical Technologists (AMT) is required.
• Must maintain certification status in compliance with continuing education specifications.

Responsibilities

• Performs procedures for testing or analysis on specimens submitted to the laboratory.
• Evaluates test results for accuracy and submits results to aid in diagnostics.
• Mentors trainees and technical personnel employed by the laboratory.

Education

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a chemical, physical, biological or clinical laboratory science, or medical technology

High school graduate or equivalent with military training
