Job summary

Loma Linda University Health is seeking a Clinical Lab Scientist-Transfusion to perform and interpret high complexity tests, report results and prepare blood products following SOPs and GMPs. The role includes instrument calibration, maintenance, troubleshooting, and serving as a resource to students, residents, and staff.

The position requires a Bachelor's in Clinical Laboratory Science or related field, with preferred experience in Blood Bank and licensed CLS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Clinical Laboratory Science or related field required.
• Minimum three years of experience in high complexity, computerized clinical laboratory as licensed CLS preferred.
• Experience with automated Blood Bank testing instruments.

Responsibilities

• Performs and interprets moderate and high complexity tests, reports results and prepares blood products following SOPs and current GMPs.
• Monitors pending lists and meets turn-around time goals for test production and result reporting.
• Calibrates and maintains instruments, troubleshoots issues, and provides technical resources to staff.
