Hyosung HICO, Ltd. in Memphis, TN is seeking an Associate Manufacturing Technician to perform mechanical assembly, disassembly and installation tasks in our transformer manufacturing facility.

Qualifications

• Two-year Associate’s Degree in electrical or related technical field required.
• Minimum one year experience in testing, utilities, or related field preferred.
• Developed written and verbal communication skills.
• Developed math and electrical engineering skills.
• Broad experience using inspection tools, instruments and equipment.
• Developed computer skills for data entry and retrieval.
• Ability to read and understand mechanical and electrical drawings.
• Ability to follow basic 6S workplace organization skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform manufacturing tasks such as loading/unloading machinery and operating non-CNC equipment.
• Assemble and disassemble parts; position, align, and fasten using hand/power tools.
• Measure and adjust parts with calipers, micrometers, scales.
• Inspect and document quality criteria to meet specifications.
• Connect, crimp, solder, and braze internal leads and product wiring.
• Follow prints and BOMs to determine components for processing.
• Disassemble units for parts replacement and packaging for shipping.
• Safely operate equipment for oil filling, vacuuming and recovery.
• Support TPM and TPM-related tasks as directed.
• Maintain safe work environment and follow 6S practices.
