Job summary

Prolec-GE Waukesha, Inc. seeks a design professional to complete transformer winding layouts and BOMs, coordinating with the Design Engineer and shop personnel to ensure the electrical design is accurate and aligned with the master plan.

You will load long lead BOMs for core, winding and insulation materials in the system and help meet project schedules. The role requires strong drafting, problem solving, and communication skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and SAP.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in drafting and design or equivalent.
• Understanding of shop methods and drafting procedures.
• 5 years of technical training in electrical technology and transformer insulation design.

Responsibilities

• Complete winding design of transformers including BOM and sheets.
• Calculate dimensions and specifications per standard procedures.
• Provide technical support and training when required.
• Assist in planning and scheduling design and detailing processes.
• Direct or execute corrective action when shop problems occur.
• Suggest cost-saving ideas to reduce material and throughput time.
