Job summary

Hitachi Energy in Virginia is seeking a Transformer Test Technician to validate transformer designs and ensure performance, safety, and reliability across UL, IEEE, IEC, Nuclear 1E, and IBC standards in a fast-paced production setting.

You will interpret drawings to wind, assemble, wire, and fabricate components, while supporting other production areas as needed and managing multiple tasks to meet deadlines.

Qualifications

• AS degree or technical certificate in electrical field.
• Experience with instrumentation and measurement systems.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform transformer testing to industry standards in a production environment.
• Follow safety and quality procedures while maintaining high housekeeping standards.
• Interpret engineering drawings to wind, assemble, wire, and fabricate components.
• Support other production areas as needed, following supervisor instructions.
• Manage multiple concurrent tasks and meet established deadlines.
• Document test plans, results, and protocols with accuracy and clarity.
• Host and support customers, auditors, and certification personnel during witnessed testing.
• Demonstrate Hitachi Energy’s values of safety, integrity, and teamwork.
