Hitachi Energy USA Inc. is seeking a Transformer Test Technician to validate transformer designs in a fast-paced production setting.

You will interpret engineering drawings, wind and assemble components, and perform tests to industry standards while strictly following safety and quality procedures. The role requires an AS degree or technical certificate (2-year electrical education), US work authorization, and experience with instrumentation and measurement systems.

Qualifications

  • AS degree or technical certificate (minimum 2-year electrical education).
  • Prior work authorization to work in the United States.
  • Experience with instrumentation and measurement systems.
  • Ability to gather, organize, and process technical information from multiple sources.
  • Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet project deadlines; flexible with shifts, overtime, and weekends.

Responsibilities

  • Perform transformer testing to multiple industry standards in a production environment.
  • Follow safety and quality procedures while maintaining high housekeeping standards.
  • Interpret engineering drawings to wind, assemble, wire, and fabricate components.
  • Support other production areas as needed, following supervisor instructions.
  • Manage multiple concurrent tasks and meet established deadlines.
  • Document test plans, results, and protocols with accuracy and clarity.
  • Host and support customers, auditors, and certification personnel during witnessed testing.
