Job summary

Hitachi Energy is seeking a Transformer Test Technician in the United States to validate transformer designs and ensure compliance with UL, IEEE, IEC, Nuclear 1E, and IBC standards. You’ll interpret engineering drawings, wind, assemble, wire, and fabricate components in a fast-paced production environment while prioritizing safety and quality.

Qualifications

• AS degree or technical certificate (minimum 2-year electrical education).
• Experience with instrumentation and measurement systems.
• Ability to gather, organize, and process technical information from multiple sources.
• Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills.
• Prior work authorization to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Perform transformer testing to multiple industry standards in a production environment.
• Follow safety and quality procedures while maintaining high housekeeping standards.
• Interpret engineering drawings to wind, assemble, wire, and fabricate components.
• Support other production areas as needed, following supervisor instructions.
• Manage multiple concurrent tasks and meet established deadlines.
• Document test plans, results, and protocols with accuracy and clarity.
• Host and support customers, auditors, and certification personnel during witnessed testing.
• Demonstrate Hitachi Energy’s values of safety, integrity, and teamwork.
