WEG Transformers USA (WTU) is seeking a Quality Test Technician to perform final performance testing on power transformers and to conduct ANSI-standard electrical, thermal, sound, and impulse tests. The role supports root-cause analysis of part failures and maintains required test documentation.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry and statistics.
• Attention to detail and clear communication.
• Ability to work overtime and some weekends.
• Resides within commuting distance; no relocation assistance.
• Current work authorization in the United States.
• Safety-sensitive position with drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Support final performance testing on power transformers.
• Perform electrical, thermal, sound, and impulse tests per ANSI standards.
• Analyze part failures and identify root causes; recommend actions.
• Document test data in Test Bay Application, Test program or Excel.
• Move transformers using air pallet and crane; assist in equipment maintenance.
• Cross-train in all areas.
