Job summary

Sunbelt Solomon is seeking a skilled technician to perform transformer stacking and related assembly tasks at our Solomon, KS facility.

Daily duties include using calipers and tape measures for precise dimensions, handling core steel with hand tools, cutting transformer lids, and wearing protective equipment.

You may operate an overhead crane or forklift, must stand 8–10 hours, and may cross-train on setup and teardown while performing other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Mechanical or electrical knowledge preferred.
• Wiring experience is a plus.
• Cooperative attitude toward customers and colleagues.
• Dependable with a strong work ethic and focus on safety.
• Professional language and conduct at all times.
• Technical, mechanical, or electrical experience/college is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Use caliper and tape measure for precise measurements.
• Assemble core steel using hand tools.
• Cut transformer lids.
• Wear protective equipment and follow safety procedures.
• May operate overhead crane or forklift.
• Willing to stand 8–10 hours and perform repetitive tasks.
• Cross train on setup and teardown as needed.
