Job summary
A leading manufacturing company in Minnesota seeks a Production Engineer responsible for optimizing manufacturing processes for transformer production. The ideal candidate will collaborate with multiple departments to improve efficiency, safety, and quality across operations. This role requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering and 3–5 years of relevant experience, including hands-on skills in transformer manufacturing principles. This position is on-site with a Monday–Friday schedule.
Qualifications
3–5 years of engineering experience in transformer manufacturing or heavy electrical equipment preferred.
Hands-on experience with coil winding, insulation design, core assembly, or testing strongly desired.
Knowledge of IEEE/ANSI/IEC transformer standards.
Responsibilities
Support day to day production of transformer components.
Analyze workflow bottlenecks and implement process improvements.
Lead Lean/Kanban initiatives and use data to drive decisions.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations.
Partner with Maintenance on equipment troubleshooting.
