Job summary

Sunbelt Solomon seeks a Disassembler Technician to safely disassemble single phase and polemount transformers, using hand and power tools. The role requires reading work orders, sorting parts for reuse or scrap, and maintaining a clean, safe workstation.

The position runs on an 8-hour shift starting at 6:00 AM, Monday–Friday, with responsibilities that include proper tool usage and adherence to safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma/GED preferred.
• Mechanical and transformer experience preferred.
• OSHA10 certification preferred.
• Material handling equipment experience (forklift, crane, etc.) preferred.
• Proven track record in safety excellence is required.
• Ability to read and interpret work orders.
• Meet department and production goals set by supervisor.
• Ensure product quality meets company and client expectations.
• Possess a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, problem-solving abilities, cooperative attitude, strong attention to detail and can work in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Read and follow work order instructions.
• Gather parts and tools that are needed for the work order and ensure they are in good working condition prior to usage.
• Disassemble and sort transformer parts for reuse and scrap.
• Utilize shop equipment and tools safely and appropriately. Return equipment to proper location once usage is complete.
• Usage of material handling equipment may be needed to perform job tasks.
• Maintain safe, clean, and orderly workstation.
• Other assigned duties as needed.
