Job summary

Magna-Power Electronics in Flemington, NJ, seeks a Transformer Assembler to wind and assemble magnetic components. You will use hand and power tools, read electrical diagrams, and follow samples to complete assembly tasks with hands-on training across Magna-Power teams.

Responsibilities include winding coils, soldering leads, laminating components, and operating core machines. A high school diploma is required, plus 1 year of related experience; a 4-year degree or experience mix is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; 4-year degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• Minimum 1 year related experience required.
• Good mechanical aptitude with hand and power tools.
• Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic math.
• Knowledge of crimping, soldering, and assembly preferred.
• Familiarity with BOMs, assembly drawings, and manufacturing docs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and laminate main magnetic components per specs.
• Twist, bend, trim, strip, and crimp transformer wire leads.
• Solder transformer/inductor leads with hand tools.
• Varnish and bake transformers per procedures.
• Glue and clamp chopper inductors; read blueprints and schematics.
• Assemble inductors and wind coils as per data sheets.
• Operate core machines for steel core assembly.
