Job summary

The Grove at Valhalla Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide and direct comprehensive speech therapy services to patients, including assessment, treatment planning, and collaboration with the care team.

The ideal candidate holds a Master's in Speech-Language Pathology, current NY state license or eligibility, and demonstrates strong communication and teamwork skills. Compensation is $43-$47 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Provides Speech Therapy services to patients and initiates referrals.
• Conducts screenings to determine need for intervention.
• Evaluates patients to collect data for treatment planning.
• Develops and implements individualized treatment plans.
• Coordinates treatment plans with patient, family, and team.
• Monitors progress and modifies treatment as needed.
• Recommends equipment to improve communication and trains users.
• Participates in discharge planning.
• Documents assessments, treatment, and outcomes.
• Supervises students and volunteers.
• Records time and submits statistics.
• Maintains infection control standards.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Assists with quality assurance programs.
