Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide and direct Speech Therapy services to patients.
• Conduct screenings to determine need for intervention.
• Evaluate patients for treatment planning and implementation.
• Interpret and communicate evaluation findings to patients, families, and team members.
• Establish patient schedules with the team.
• Develop and implement treatment plans with goals.
• Coordinate treatment plans with patient and family.
• Monitor progress and modify treatment as indicated.
• Recommend equipment and instruct on usage of augmentative communication devices.
• Participate in discharge planning.
• Develop home or community programming to maintain progress.
• Document assessment, treatment, follow-up, and termination.
• Supervise students and volunteers.
• Pursue ongoing continuing education.
• Record indirect and billable treatment times.
• Adhere to infection control and OSHA standards.
• Participate in QA programs and maintain confidentiality.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
