Job summary

The Grove at Valhalla Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide and direct speech therapy services to patients under physician orders in a rehab setting.

The SLP will conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and collaborate with patients, families, and the care team to achieve communication goals. A Masters in Speech-Language Pathology and state license or eligibility are required.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
• Current state license or license eligible.
• Demonstrates good communication skills.
• Works well in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide and direct Speech Therapy services including assessment and treatment.
• Perform screenings to determine need for intervention.
• Develop and implement treatment plans with goals.
• Communicate evaluation findings to patients and family.
• Coordinate treatment with the care team and discharge planning.
• Supervise students and volunteers in accordance with state regulations.
