Martin Luther King, Jr. Charter School of Excellence in Springfield, MA is seeking a Special Educator to lead coordination of special education services in accordance with IEPs, delivering instruction and collaborating with the classroom team to implement accommodations.

The role includes developing IEP plans, planning targeted lessons, conducting baseline assessments, and maintaining active communication with families and specialists, while participating in ongoing professional development.

Competenze

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• MA in Special Education/Moderate Disabilities and valid MA teaching certification required.
• SEI or RETELL endorsement preferred / required.

Mansioni

• Provide research-based specialized instruction aligned to IEP goals.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers to implement accommodations.
• Develop IEPs with present levels, needs, goals and services.
• Plan and implement targeted lessons to meet IEP goals.
• Conduct baseline testing and create strategic support plans.
• Communicate progress with the Special Education Director and related staff.
• Encourage positive family engagement with guardians.
• Participate in professional development and after-school events.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Principal or Director.
