Job summary

Veritas Prep is seeking a Special Education Teacher in Springfield, MA to provide services and accommodations for one grade level. You will collaborate with general education and student support teams to ensure access to curriculum and success on IEP goals.

You will deliver direct services, plan targeted supports, co-teach, and participate in weekly meetings, with a focus on anti-racist education and ongoing professional growth.

Qualifications

• All students can achieve amazing things
• Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing
• One to two years of teaching experience (preferred)
• Bachelor's degree or MA license in Special Education or Moderate Disabilities

Responsibilities

• Deliver special education services and accommodations
• Collaborate with general education teachers to plan for student support
• Co-teach or push-into classes throughout the day
• Plan and lead small group or pull-out sessions
• Develop and deliver modified curriculum aligned to standards
• Attend IEP meetings and report progress
• Collect and record data on student progress
• Be an active member of the student support team
