Job summary

MUSC Community Physicians (MCP) serves the rural health network in South Carolina. This role is the day treatment therapist for Rock Hill Schools, providing individual, family and group therapy and collaborating with the treatment team to develop goals and interventions.

Under supervision of the School Based Behavioral Health Manager, the therapist conducts assessments, counseling and safety planning, addressing behavioral health needs with a holistic, patient-centered approach within the school

Qualifications

• Master's degree in social work or social welfare program.
• MSW licensure by the South Carolina Board of Social Work Examiners, Certification in case management preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide assessment, counseling, education, and safety planning for patients.
• Collaborate with clinical and school teams to meet behavioral health needs of patients.
• Identify treatment needs and risk factors and apply interventions and skill-building techniques.
