Qualifications

• Licensed as an Occupational Therapist in the state of Ohio.
• CPR Certification within 90 days.
• A valid driver’s license is required (if you do not have a valid Ohio driver’s license you must obtain one within 30 days of your residency).
• Positive service-oriented interpersonal and communication skills required.
• Ability to assess data reflective of the patient status and provide age-appropriate care as described in department policies.

Responsibilities

• Examines, evaluates, tests, and administers treatments of patients with physical disabilities and ADL limitations.
• Supervises and co-signs plans of care by the occupational therapy assistant and communicates goals.
• Ensures understanding with patient, family, and other professionals regarding progress and home programs.
• Develops, implements, and evaluates therapeutic occupational therapy programs and services.
• Maintains records for documentation, billing, and scheduling in compliance with regulations.
• Presents information to work groups and mentors clinical students.
