Qualifications

• Hold Connecticut Professional Educator Certification - Intermediate Administration & Supervision.
• Minimum of two years of prior administrator experience, or commensurate leadership experience.
• Minimum of five years of teaching experience.
• Strong collaborative and interpersonal skills to lead staff, students, families and members of the school community.
• Demonstrated success in the development, evaluation and implementation of curriculum and instruction.
• Demonstrated ability to use technology for data analysis and understand its application to student learning.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Demonstrated experience in managing school improvement efforts and supervising staff.

Responsibilities

• Guide and implement the district curriculum and vision for teaching and learning through the School Improvement Plan.
• Drive student success by monitoring teaching/learning through data teams and collaborative planning.
• Recruit, supervise and evaluate staff, ensuring a highly effective learning environment.
• Ensure equitable access to resources and collaborate with families and the community.
• Build partnerships and resources for the school and work with community partners.
• Create and sustain a school culture aligned with the district mission and vision.
• Oversee committees supporting instruction, assessment, professional development and support programs.
• Communicate regularly with parents, families and the community.
• Lead organization and operation of the school and implement Board policies and regulations.
