Job summary

Brilla Schools in the Bronx is seeking a 5th Grade English Language Arts Teacher for the 2026-27 year. The role focuses on a classically-inspired curriculum, data-driven instruction, and a strong emphasis on character education in a high-expectation environment.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree with teaching certification in Middle School ELA (preferred) and demonstrates excellent communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or higher required.
• Current teaching certification for Middle School and/or ELA preferred.
• Excellent spoken and written communication skills.
• Experience in educational settings with student growth results preferred.
• Special Education credential and experience strongly preferred.
