Job summary

Board of Miami County Commissioners (Ohio) in Troy seeks an Operations Supervisor to manage the Recycling/Transfer Station and Sanitary Engineering daily operations. Under general direction, you will maintain schedules, prepare reports, supervise staff, and support the Operations Manager with various tasks.

Qualifications include a high school diploma with 1+ year supervising heavy equipment operations, a valid Ohio driver’s license and Class B CDL or eligibility within 120 days, and OSHA

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; 1+ year supervising heavy equipment operations.
• Valid Ohio driver’s license and CDL Class B or eligibility to obtain within 120 days.
• OSHA 40-hour Hazardous Materials Certification within 1 year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule work for self and staff under supervisor.
• Perform duties of manager in the absence of the Operations Manager.
• Assist in hiring, budgeting, and monitoring division expenses.
• Maintain asset records and prepare routine reports for Transfer Station.
• Operate transfer station equipment as needed and enforce safety rules.
• Coordinate with contractors and supervise small projects.
