Job summary

State-of-South-Carolina seeks a Transfer Credit Specialist to evaluate transfer transcripts and coordinate credit pathways for traditional undergraduates and CBE students. You will liaise with Undergraduate Admissions, Student Success, and Graduate/Continuing Education to ensure accurate credit transfer and clear communication.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree, strong customer service skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Outstanding customer service, organizational, and written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail when evaluating academic records.
• Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with faculty, staff, students, colleagues and guests.
• Ability to learn and use university systems and technology platforms to perform duties.
• Two years of experience in admissions, advising, registrar operations or similar.
• Proficiency with student information systems/CRMs (Slate, Banner, DegreeWorks or similar).

Responsibilities

• Evaluate transcripts for transfer applicants and Winthrop Elevate (CBE) students, ensuring accurate credit transfer and course equivalencies.
• Communicate evaluation results to students and partners in a timely, student-centered manner.
• Resolve transfer credit and equivalency questions with academic departments and student services.
• Help maintain and grow academic pathways and articulation agreements with community colleges and partner institutions.
• Keep transfer/articulation data accurate in university systems and support related reporting.
• Identify ways to improve evaluation workflows and communication between enrollment partners.
