Job summary

The Transfer Center RN Coordinator at University of California, Irvine Health plays a pivotal role in facilitating safe patient transfers across UCI Health locations. You will partner with the Capacity Command Center to ensure timely placement and effective capacity use, drawing on ICU/ED expertise and strong clinical judgment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years recent nursing experience in Adult ICU or Adult ED.
• Current California RN license.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
• Strong knowledge of Joint Commission, CMS, CDPH, and EMTALA requirements.
• Advanced computer literacy and ability to run various reports.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate safe, timely patient access into and across UCI Health locations.
• Serve as primary contact for referring facilities and coordinate transfers.
• Collaborate with CCC Medical Director and teams to support clinical decision-making.
• Manage multiple priorities and document actions in the appropriate systems.
