Job description

Registered Nurse (RN)

REMOTE Transfer Center position

This position is responsible for providing high quality, prompt assistance with clinical triaging, and any other duties as assigned. Monitors and responds to triage needs and completes nurse to nurse. Remotely uses technology as a platform for reviewing patients' clinical needs. Answers calls from referring facilities regarding possible admissions. Responds to faxed clinicals in a very timely manner (within 15 minutes) with an admission decision. This is a 100% work from home position. Collaborates with referral sources, physicians, nurses, etc.

What you will do in this role:

  1. Highly organized and deadline oriented with demonstrated attention to detail.
  2. Answer calls from referring facilities regarding possible admissions, referrals for scheduling assessments, or general questions about programming. Respond to faxed clinicals in a very timely manner (within 15 minutes) with an admission decision, or if there are any delays, to communicate that with referring facility.
  3. Use crisis stabilization techniques and proper procedures in making referrals to appropriate facilities.
  4. Coordinate and correspond with our hospital Assessment staff when accepting transfers. Complete Nurse to Nurse Report timely. Enter demographics and chief complaint information into doc to doc. Respect confidentiality of caller/clients in every way.
  5. Communicate via Excel log referrals that were managed during shift. Work in collaboration with the team to provide quality care for all patients and appropriate support for all Springstone hospitals.

Salary range: $29-$34 per hour. We would expect those hired into this job would be paid within this hourly rate, however, certain circumstances may allow us to pay outside of this hourly rate.

Qualifications:

  1. Valid Compact RN licensure.
  2. Must have at least three years experience as an RN. Previous experience working with case management, hospitals, and admissions preferred. ER & ICU experience is preferred. Must have a minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a Behavioral Health facility.
  3. Valid driver’s license preferred.
  4. May be required to work flexible hours and do overtime.
