Job summary

Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta is seeking a PRN Bed Placement Coordinator in the Transfer Center to optimize patient flow and placement decisions. You will coordinate admissions and transfers, supervise the Bed Placement Coordinator, and partner with physicians and nursing staff to ensure clinically appropriate levels of care.

Qualifications include 5 years of nursing, 2 years in critical care with advanced assessment, RN licensure in Georgia, and BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in nursing
• 2 years of experience in critical care with advanced clinical assessment skills
• Licensure as an RN in Georgia or multi-state via eNLC
• BLS within 30 days of employment
• PALS within 90 days of employment
• BSN preferred

Responsibilities

• Coordinates patient placement via Transfer Center to optimize patient flow and outcomes.
• Maintains assigned databases.
• Collaborates in data collection to identify flow issues.
• Analyzes outcome data to identify improvement needs and support process changes.
• Prepares periodic reports as directed.
• Supports initiatives impacting patient flow and quality improvement.
• Serves as clinical resource for patient placement.
• Supervises Bed Placement Coordinator and supports staff development.
• Assists with Transfer Center hiring and orientation.
