Job summary

Hood Container Corporation is seeking a reliable Transfer Car Operator to support corrugator operations. The role focuses on maintaining continuous material flow, preventing downtime, and upholding a safe, organized production environment.

Training will be provided for candidates with limited manufacturing experience. Responsibilities include operating the transfer car, keeping lines supplied, and ensuring safety protocols and clean work areas are followed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Manufacturing experience preferred, but not required — training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Operate and manage the transfer car to ensure uninterrupted flow of corrugated material.
• Keep corrugator lines properly supplied to prevent bottlenecks and machine downtime.
• Ensure the transfer car path is clear of people and obstructions at all times.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe storage and work areas.
• Clear take-off lines so machines continue running efficiently.
• Monitor sheet quality and assist with quality checks on finished units.
• Assist with stretch wrapping, waste removal, and housekeeping duties.
• Follow all company policies related to safety, quality, ISO, AIB, and production standards.
• Adhere strictly to safety procedures including PPE requirements and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO).
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Lead, Supervisor, or Plant Manager.

We are looking for a motivated team player who enjoys hands-on work in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

What You’ll Do

Operate and manage the transfer car to ensure uninterrupted flow of corrugated material.

Keep corrugator lines properly supplied to prevent bottlenecks and machine downtime.

Ensure the transfer car path is clear of people and obstructions at all times.

Maintain clean, organized, and safe storage and work areas.

Clear take-off lines so machines continue running efficiently.

Monitor sheet quality and assist with quality checks on finished units.

What You Bring

Required Experience & Education

Physical & Work Requirements

Ability to work in temperature extremes ranging from 60°F to 100°F inside the facility.

Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and push up to 50 lbs.

Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical tasks for extended periods.

Comfortable working around moving equipment and production machinery.
