Job summary

Hood Container Corporation seeks skilled corrugated professionals to operate our corrugated equipment and ensure high-quality box production on the 2nd shift (Mon-Thurs, 3:30 pm–1:00 am) with Friday overtime in Covington, KY. You will set up and run equipment, monitor quality, and participate in continuous improvement to boost efficiency.

The role requires at least 6 months of corrugated equipment experience, safety focus, and a team-oriented work approach.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months of experience operating corrugated industry equipment.
• Strong understanding of equipment operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Safety-focused mindset in all tasks.
• Quality mindset with one box setup to minimize waste.
• Team player with ability to collaborate to achieve production goals.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate corrugated equipment (corrugator, rotary die cutter, or flexo folder gluers).
• Maintain safe, clean work environment while on shift.
• Inspect production runs to ensure quality and durability of boxes.
• Maximize machine uptime and productivity to meet targets.
• Identify and implement process improvements to reduce downtime.

What You’ll Do

• Safety first: Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
• Master our corrugator or converting equipment: Set up and operate either Corrugated Equipment, Rotary Die Cutter, or Flexo Folder Gluers in the production of corrugated boxes.
• Ensure quality: Inspect and monitor production runs, ensuring products meet the highest quality standards.
• Drive efficiency: Maximize machine uptime and productivity.
• Continuous improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce downtime.
