Job summary

University of Colorado Boulder is seeking a Therapist and Gender-Affirming Care Specialist to coordinate and deliver services for transgender, nonbinary, and gender diverse students within Counseling and Psychiatric Services (CAPS). This role leads the TransCare Team, provides direct clinical services, and collaborates with campus partners to monitor changes in laws and best practices affecting gender-affirming care.

The position offers hybrid work with on-site requirements.

Qualifications

• Licensed mental health provider in CO by date of hire.
• At least 2 years of professional psychotherapy experience.
• Experience delivering culturally responsive mental health services to diverse populations.

Responsibilities

• Provide goal-focused individual therapy aligned with CAPS scope of care.
• Conduct initial screenings and coordinate treatment recommendations with students.
• Provide crisis assessment, intervention, and triage services.
• Facilitate therapy groups and psychoeducational services as appropriate.
• Provide supervision or training to CAPS staff-in-training.
