Job summary

University of Colorado Boulder seeks a Therapist and Gender-Affirming Care Specialist to coordinate and support transgender, nonbinary, and gender-diverse student services within CAPS and across campus. The role leads the TransCare Team, provides direct clinical services, and collaborates with campus partners to navigate evolving laws and guidance on gender-affirming care.

Training and supervision for staff-in-training are included.

Qualifications

• Licensed mental health provider in Colorado by date of hire
• Experience providing culturally responsive mental health services to diverse populations
• Knowledge of gender-affirming mental health care and transgender/nonbinary student needs

Responsibilities

• Provide goal-focused individual therapy within CAPS scope of care
• Conduct intake assessments and develop collaborative treatment plans
• Provide crisis assessment and triage as needed
• Lead therapy groups, workshops, and psychoeducational services
• Provide supervision or training to CAPS staff-in-training
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation per CAPS standards
• Support TransCare initiatives to increase access to gender-affirming care
• Attend staff and team meetings and deliver trainings on TransCare
