Job summary

Troutman Pepper Locke LLP's Tax Practice is seeking an associate with 3–5 years of transactional tax experience to join its team in Washington, DC. The role includes work in fund formation, REITs, joint ventures, private equity, and other M&A.

Ideal candidates will have or be pursuing an LL.M. in taxation or significant tax coursework at the JD level. Law firm experience is preferred, but large accounting firm experience will also be considered. Three in-office days per week are required.

Troutman Pepper Locke's Tax Practice, a subgroup of its Tax & Benefits practice group, is seeking an associate with three to five years' experience to join its transactional tax practice. The position will include significant work in fund formation, REITs, joint ventures, Private Equity, and other M&A. Candidates should have solid transactional tax experience, as well as a strong academic credentials and excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ideal candidates will have, or currently be in the process of earning, an LL.M. in taxation or will have had significant tax course work at the JD level. Law firm experience is preferred but large accounting firm experience will also be considered. Candidates must be licensed and in good standing in the state in which they practice. Position requires three days a week in office. We are accepting applicants in our New York, Washington DC, Philadelphia, Chicago, Houston, Richmond, and Berwyn offices, please note your preference when applying.

The salary range for this position is $260,000 - $310,000 dependent on relevant years of experience.
