Job summary

Apple Inc. in Sunnyvale, CA seeks a Software Engineer to join AiDP Data Services as a transactional database SRE.

You will help scale and operate Oracle, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB fleets, build platform tooling, and support data migrations across hybrid-cloud environments with strong data integrity. This role requires solid scripting in Python or Go, on-call experience, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to improve monitoring, incident response, and runbooks.

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience in a Site Reliability Engineering / Infrastructure focused role.
• Hands-on production experience with Oracle, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB.
• Automation tooling across datacenter and third-party cloud environments.
• Proficiency in Python or Go.
• BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Apply core SRE concepts: monitoring, alerting, and incident management with growing independence.
• Build knowledge of transactional database concepts across Oracle, PostgreSQL, MongoDB.
• Support performance tuning and profiling for transactional engines.
• Assist service management across bare metal, EC2, Ali Cloud ECS, and K8s platforms.
• Execute data migration tasks across hybrid clouds with validation and rollback support.
• Develop runbooks and architecture diagrams; maintain migration playbooks.
