Job summary

Orionplacement is seeking an attorney in Lubbock, TX with 3+ years of transactional law experience to draft and negotiate contracts, form entities, and advise on business transactions.

The role offers on-site work with one remote day per week, potential flexibility for those with a book of business, and a supportive team focused on client service.

Qualifications

• Active Texas Bar license in good standing is required.
• 3+ years of transactional law experience.
• Strong legal drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.
• Experience with business transactions, contracts, real estate, estate planning, and/or probate.
• Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
• Book of business is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate business contracts and commercial agreements.
• Form and maintain business entities, including LLCs and corporations.
• Advise clients on transactions, governance, and succession planning.
• Prepare estate planning documents including wills, trusts, POA, and related instruments.
• Manage probate matters from filing through administration.
• Draft and review deeds, easements, transfers, leases, financing documents, and related instruments.
• Conduct legal due diligence for business and real estate transactions.
• Collaborate with accountants, financial advisors, and other professionals to ensure client outcomes.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships delivering practical, business-focused advice.

Location

Lubbock, Texas – Primarily on-site with the flexibility to work remotely one day per week. Additional flexibility may be available for attorneys who bring an established book of business.

To be considered, you must be licensed to practice law in Texas and have at least 3 years of transactional law experience.
