You will work across entertainment, media, IP, and production transactions, drafting and negotiating deals for diverse clients from publishers to independent creators in a collaborative, collegial environment.

The role requires NY bar admission or eligibility, offers full-time hybrid work, and provides involvement across theater, film, and creator economy projects.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of transactional law experience (big law generalist OR boutique entertainment/media firm background).
• Willing to work across theater, commercial, production, and creator economy pods.
• Strong client-facing skills and professional demeanor with sophisticated clients.
• Admitted to the New York bar or eligible for admission.

Responsibilities

• Drafting and negotiating commercial transactions across entertainment, media, and IP matters.
• Supporting film, podcast, and theater production legal work.
• Working on content deals related to the creator economy and influencer partnerships.
• Collaborating directly with partners across multiple practice pods depending on client needs.

Kai Executives is recruiting for a prestigious boutique firm who are looking for a Transactional Associate with 2-3 years of experience to join a growing boutique media, entertainment, technology, and IP law firm. You'll work across multiple practice areas—theater, commercial transactional, film/podcast production, and the creator economy—supporting sophisticated clients ranging from major publishing companies to independent creators in a collaborative, collegial environment.

Responsibilities

• Drafting and negotiating commercial transactions across entertainment, media, and IP matters
• Supporting film, podcast, and theater production legal work
• Working on content deals related to the creator economy and influencer partnerships
• Collaborating directly with partners across multiple practice \"pods\" depending on client needs

Requirements
