IP Transactional Associate (2nd–4th Year)

Salary: $155,000–$175,000 + bonus, client origination and benefits

Level: 2nd–4th Year Associate

A leading New York media, entertainment and intellectual property boutique is seeking a Transactional Associate to join its growing practice. The role offers significant hands‑on responsibility across sophisticated transactions spanning streaming, film, documentaries, podcasts, theatre, publishing, digital media, live events, sports, promotions, marketing, commercial technology and general corporate matters. The successful candidate will work closely with partners and clients from deal ideation through execution, drafting and negotiating a broad range of commercial agreements and helping develop and implement deal strategy.

Candidates should have approximately 2–4 years of relevant transactional experience, with strong drafting, negotiation and critical‑thinking skills. The firm is particularly interested in proactive lawyers who can manage complex, fast‑moving workflows, take ownership of matters and operate effectively in a highly collaborative environment. Prior experience involving media, entertainment, intellectual property, technology or related commercial transactions is strongly preferred, alongside a genuine interest in the creative, cultural and technology industries.

Strong academic credentials and excellent written and verbal communication skills are required, with additional industry knowledge or demonstrated engagement with media, entertainment, culture or the arts considered highly desirable.
