Riveron in Chicago supports clients through the full transaction lifecycle with deep financial analysis and practical execution before and after deal close. We seek a transaction professional with 4+ years of M&A experience and strong Excel skills to contribute to buy- and sell-side engagements.

Earned knowledge in GAAP, risk assessment, and reporting while collaborating with senior teams. This full-time role offers diverse client exposure, mentoring opportunities, and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting.
• Minimum 4 years of relevant transaction experience, including EBITDA, net working capital, and cash flow analysis.
• Advanced Excel skills with formulas such as SUMIF, SUMIFS, VLOOKUP, INDEXMATCH.
• Strong client relationship development and execution in dynamic environments.
• Willingness to travel as required based on client location.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Interest in participating in firm initiatives and community service.

Responsibilities

• Use GAAP knowledge to assist clients on financial, operational, and tax issues related to M&A.
• Conduct and review analyses for quality of earnings and net working capital on deals.
• Participate in executive interviews of target companies.
• Draft sections of reports and client-facing deliverables.

Who You Are

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Accounting
• Minimum 4 years of relevant transaction experience, including experience analyzing a target company’s quality of earnings (EBITDA), net working capital, and cash flows
• Advanced Excel skills, including knowledge of formulas such as SUMIF, SUMIFS, VLOOKUP, INDEXMATCH, etc.
• You have a passion for developing and maintaining client relationships
• You get the job done and have fun doing it

• You readily identify problems and instinctively look for solutions
• You demonstrate analytical rigor and strong written and verbal communication skills

What You’ll Do

• Use financial acumen, including knowledge of accounting standards such as GAAP, to assist clients on a variety of financial, operational, and tax issues associated with M&A transactions
• Conduct and review research and analysis of a wide range of financial and accounting issues related to business transactionsAssist in the preparation of quality of earnings and net working capital analyses for buy- and sell-side deals
• Participate in executive management interviews of target companies
• Draft sections of reports, presentations, and other client-facing deliverables
• Collaborate with project team to manage workstreams and ensure deadlines are met
