Overview

Position: Specialized Transaction Modeling Expert

Type: Part-time, Hourly contract

Compensation: $140–$240/hour

Location: Remote

Commitment: 10–40 hours/week

Role Responsibilities

• Design, build, and refine advanced financial models for industry-specific and non-standard transactions such as sale leasebacks, REIT conversions, and NAV analyses.
• Structure and evaluate bespoke transactions including RMTs, spin-offs, carve-outs, and complex IP licensing arrangements.
• Perform deep, vertical-specific due diligence, covering unit economics, cohort behavior, and transaction-level risk drivers.
• Conduct scenario analysis and sensitivity testing to support high-impact strategic decision-making.
• Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure model accuracy, transparency, and practical usability.
• Clearly communicate complex assumptions, methodologies, and outcomes through concise written documentation and verbal briefings.
• Track market dynamics, regulatory changes, and emerging transaction structures relevant to specialized deal work.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an investment banker at a tier-one institution or equivalent transactional role.
• Demonstrated expertise building industry-specific and bespoke financial models for complex transactions.
• Strong background in advanced due diligence and vertical-specific financial analysis.
• Deep understanding of transaction structuring across private equity, growth equity, venture capital, or corporate development contexts.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present to senior stakeholders.
• Strong analytical rigor, problem-solving capability, and attention to detail.
• Ability to operate independently and collaborate effectively within remote, high-stakes teams.
