Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. in the San Francisco Bay Area is seeking a Transaction Manager to support a leading-edge client in managing real estate transactions across office, retail, R&D, warehouse, and life sciences spaces.

The role requires a hybrid schedule (up to three days on-site) and involves negotiating leases, renewals, sales, acquisitions, and dispositions, plus leading reporting and project-tracking activities. Removal of constraints and delivery of results are expected.

Responsibilities

  • Implement real estate plans aligned with client goals and milestones.
  • Act as landlord/seller agent and tenant/buyer agent to negotiate terms.
  • Coordinate sales negotiations through field brokers; manage leases and renewals.
  • Locate and acquire new properties to meet client requirements and timelines.
  • Disposition of surplus space through subleasing, sales, early lease terminations, etc.
  • Review, evaluate, and interpret financial analysis templates.
  • Track transaction activity; prepare reports and presentations for relevant parties.
  • Maintain a real estate project tracking system to ensure timely completion; report findings.
  • Improve methods and processes; consider broader department impact.
  • Lead by example and model CBRE RISE values to reach agreements.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve day-to-day and moderately complex issues.

As a CBRE Transaction Manager, you will provide ongoing management of real estate transaction activities including new leases, renewals, sales, acquisitions and dispositions on behalf of the client. Their portfolio of properties includes office, retail, R&D, warehouse and some life sciences space.

Location & Work Model

We are ideally seeking a candidate based in the San Francisco Bay Area for this Transaction Manager role, which requires a hybrid schedule (up to three (3) days per week on-site). What You’ll Do
  • Implement real estate plans with an understanding of the client's strategic real estate goals. Assist with project initiation and scope definition, prioritization of assignments, and adherence to client-driven priorities, commitments, and milestones.
  • Act as a landlord or seller agent and tenant or buyer agent to effectively negotiate the business terms and conditions.
  • Coordinate the negotiation of sales through a field broker. This includes negotiating leases and lease amendments, monitoring lease expirations, and negotiating lease renewals.
  • Locate and acquire new properties to meet the client's requirements and timeline.
  • Disposition of surplus space through subleasing, sales, early lease terminations, etc.
  • Understand how to review, evaluate, and interpret financial analysis templates.
  • Closely track transaction and project activity. Record all savings results achieved. Prepare reports and make presentations to relevant parties.
  • Maintain a real estate project tracking system to ensure timely transaction completion; prepare reports and make presentations to relevant parties.
  • Improve and change existing methods, processes, and standards. Understand and recognize the broader impact across the department.
  • Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Influence parties of shared interests to reach an agreement.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve day-to-day and moderately complex issues which may or may not be evident in existing systems and processes.
