Greystone is seeking a Transaction Manager for its Agency Conventional Underwriting team. In this role, the individual will work with underwriters, production teams, and borrowers who are pursuing Agency financing. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three (3) years of prior real estate experience. This position has the opportunity to work remotely.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with underwriters, production team, and borrowers for collection of loan due diligence materials.
- Review and general and specific data into Greystone’s loan origination system.
- Analyze rent roll and operating history data and input into the financial analysis spreadsheets that are uploaded into Closer.
- Communicate with production team and borrowers to facilitate collection of required due diligence, ensuring a smooth process from application to closing (including Index Lock, Early Rate Lock, Timeline Management, etc.).
- Enter basic third-party report data (appraisals, physical condition assessment reports, environmental reports, etc.) into Greystone’s loan origination system.
- Inspect properties and prepare inspection reports (training provided by Greystone). Business travel can include driving and/or flying, with possible overnight stays, as may be appropriate (30 percent travel commitment).
- Assist the Underwriter and team in the coordination of all required and necessary inter-company departments, including the closing and underwriting departments.
- Complete and/or assist the Underwriters in the completion of applicable Agency forms for submission.
- Other duties and projects, as may be assigned and deemed appropriate from the manager.
Experience, Skills, and Abilities Required:
- Experienced professional with five+ years of commercial real estate experience (minimum of three+ years of Agency experience).
- Must be detail oriented and possess excellent organizational skills.
- A strong interest in real estate, lending and financial analysis.
- Advanced knowledge of Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.
- Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills to effectively communicate with management, staff, and outside contacts; strong “customer service” communication skills for engaging individuals both internally and externally.
- Excellent analytical and project management skills.
- Work independently and as a team member, while using discretion in decision making and sound judgment in problem solving.
- Ability to conduct research and verify data and facts quickly.
- Research and compile information for the purpose of successfully recommending product and/or services marketing opportunities.
- Present a professional, courteous image when interacting with team members, co-workers, management, and outside contacts.
- Creative thinker that enjoys the challenge of being a member of a fast-paced and dynamic team.
